Today I received a phone call on our hotline from a young lady called Tina. She told me of a relative that had a motorcycle accident in South Florida and his bike caught on fire and burned him and that he was in the hospital there. She couldn’t find a group down there to call to go and visit him, and wanted to know if we knew of someone who could help. I called her back within the hour thinking that maybe I could get more information and put it on our website as we know that the One we pray to has power over any distance. Even though we try to cover those in Western North Carolina, I considered the fact her number was local, and we could pray for him and maybe comfort her. When I called her number a man answered the phone. When I asked for her he said she was unavailable and who was I? I told him about her call and he said that he had just told her minutes before that her brother had died from his injuries. I asked if we could help, but he wasn’t in much of a mood to talk either. Pray for these people that God will comfort them in their sorrow. We don’t know all their names or much about them, but He knows everything. Kind of makes me wonder if WNC is big enough for us.
