I visited with the father of a 24 year old biker who was killed on his ’02 Suzuki GSX-R 600 yesterday about 6 pm while traveling east on the New Clyde Hwy 19/23 between Canton and Clyde NC. Details are sketchy, but the bottom line is final. We found no answers. God has His perfect will. Our condolences and prayers for peace go to the family of Daniel (DJ) Gray Jr. He leaves a wife Samantha, and a 2 year old girl. Pray up for all those who loved this young man. His friends and family were at the crash site and all those I met were in shock over how fast a young man’s life can be taken. No promises for tomorrow – Live for Jesus today. I will update with funeral arrangements as we get them.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to this grieving family. May they feel God’s presence during this time of loss.
There will be a memorial service for DJ on the 26th at 2:00 pm at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Waynesville, NC. On April 3rd there will be a memorial ride to the Dragons Tail, Deal’s Gap. Bikes will leave from the old Walmart in Clyde at 2 pm. T-shirts will be for sale and donations will be accepted to raise funds for his survivors. Please attend both events and continue to pray that this tragedy serves a higher purpose in the lives of those that remain.
When I found out I was in denial until about 3 other people told me. He is deff the strong man that God needs by his-side. Samantha and their little girl as well as DJs family will be in my prayers. I have known Dj for years and he was such a strong, independent, outgoing, loving and a caring man!! DJ you will sincerely be missed by your family and all of your friends!! We love you and may you rest in peace!!
I could not believe this news when our family heard about it. Our family was really close with Dj & his family. Dj & I go way back. Its such a bad tragedy that took place on March 22. A man doing something that he loved dearly. Our thoughts & Prayers go out to his family, wife, & sweet baby girl. Dj you will be greatly missed <3
I rode with DJ and he was always the leader of our Club. He always had a way of letting us know where to ride without actually saying “this is where we are going”. He will NEVER! be forgotten. As he will ride with me every time i get on my bike, as he is forever a part of my family. I love you bro!!!!
D.J. will be missed by any and all who knew him. He was a really good guy who made everyone around him smile. My fiancée and I will be attending the memorial ride on a Honda CBR1000. We’ll do many wheelies in D.J.’s honor!!!
