FINAL UPDATE: Lyle A. Davenport, US Navy Retired and fellow Patriot Guard Rider It is with a heavy heart that I just returned home from the hospital where Jane, friends and PGR members stood by Lyle's bedside as his brother and three daughters arrived at approx. 12:30 AM on 14 FEB. At 3:35 AM life support was discontinued and Lyle was ...wheeled out to give life to three others through organ donation.
On behave of BikerDownWNC.org it is our sincerest regret for any miscommunication on behalf of this man or his family. Our prayers and thoughts are for those of his family and the other families and lives he aids through his gifts of life. Though we have never met, we celebrate the life of Lyle Davenport. God Rest His Soul.

This information on Lyle is currently INCORRECT.
Lyle is on life support. The family is with him.
ALL, and ANY UPDATES, will come from The PGR Assistant State Captain, Keith Arbuckle. Right now, several of us Ride Captains are in contact with him, and this is incorrect as of this time.
Lyle passed away this morning, Saturday, Feb 13.
Lyle passed away at 9:18 am Sunday 2/13/2011 morning when life support was turned off. He was hit by a woman changing lanes on Independence Blvd. in front of my cousin on Saturday late afternoon. He was a great friend and will be missed by many people……

Friends. Sorry for the long delay. I just got off the phone with Keith. He is reporting that he is in Lyle’s room with family and friends awaiting more family to arrive. Lyle remains on life support in ICU. Thats all I have at the moment.

Posting this for Keith: I am in Lyles room with Jane and she has stated that if anyone wants to come see Lyle they are welcome.
