Thursday, July 29th, Jason Causby lost control of his bike, slid thru a barbed wire fence and hit a tree. I visited him at Cleveland Regional in Shelby NC. Road rash, possible broken ankle, and overall body pain but nothing life threatening. He went home on Saturday.
Today, Aug 5th – Just found out from one of our CFR members that a friend had a motorcycle wreck in the Knoxville TN area. His name is Dana Merritt. He is in critical condition at the UT Medical Center in Knoxville. If someone from BikerDown could visit him or his family, that would mean a great deal to his family.

Duke Hospital
Corey Wilson – not a patient. Pray he is at home and recovering and not at another hospital.
Angle Conner – out of ICU. Car pulled out in front of her. Broken sternum, lumbar, pelvis and femur. Had 2 surgeries and prognosis is encouraging but long road of rehab ahead. Was able to pray with mom Rose and bf Travis. She knows the Lord and that’s a blessing at a time like this.
Lyle “Gene” Costello – in ICU and limited to family only. Not able to get update will try again today or tomorrow. Understanding is either hit or was hit by a deer.
Maddy Gunn – 22 yrs old of Tristen. Davis service mgr at Triangle Cycles of Durham who flipped her car about 6 weeks ago. Was in ICU, went to floor, went back to ICU after complications related to a surgery but is now back on floor. Was able to meet and pray with her for the first time yesterday. Said she knew it was because of prayer that she’s still here. The Lord has a purpose for this young lady. Please pray that purpose will be revealed.

Jerry Wayne Jordan – at home gaining strength in prep for a surgery on his ankle which I understand is in pretty bad shape. Robbin has left a message that we’re praying for him and she’ll follow-up with him.

Dana Merrit, in the hospital at UT was put on dialysis, but has since died from his injuries. Not many details of this man, the accident, or his family is known. God knows. Pray for this man and those around him to accept what God has done. Be thankful for his life and what God has given. If we get more information and an OBIT, I will post it.
Dana Merritt died of his injuries Aug. 7, 2010 at 5:15 a.m. The damage to his lungs was so extensive, that he could not recover. Accident occurred Aug 1 at approx. 5:30 p.m. He was greatly loved by his many, many friends and will be sorely missed. Please keep these in prayer for comfort and understanding. Our condolences go out and prayers go up.
