Prayers answered! Tom and I got to visit again tonight
with the family of Boyd Herring. Wife Velma ,mother Linda and Son
Jason and others.
Also I went in to see Boyd with Velma and Jason and Praise God,
Boyd was awake! He has a breathing tube in his throat and could not
talk, but he has been breathing on his own and hopefully it will be removed soon. He was awake as we all held hands and prayed. The family told me Boyd is doing much better and it is because of all the prayers that are being answered! God continues to bring this family closer to “HIM” and each other. They thank everyone and those that are following Boyds progress through BikerdownWNC for the prayers! I look forward to be able to talk with Boyd soon!
God is Good!

Rhett was able to visit UNC sat with family of Boyd Herring – his report.
Brother Jeff,
Yesterday I went by UNC to visit with Boyd and his family. I wasn’t able to get back to see him but was able to visit with his wife and mom in the ICU waiting room. He is slowly making progress. They had taken him off the ventilator and he had gone 12 hours with no problems. They then tried him for a 24 hour period but he developed pnumonia and they had to put him back on. The reconstructive surgery on his face went well last week. He’s still under intense sedation to keep him resting and isn’t responsive enough yet to know what the long term condition of his eye is. He’s also scheduled for some more surgery to his right foot and ankle this week.
I was able to pray with the family and others in the waiting area. God is Great and is answering prayer. His wife said she appreciated all the prayers and the concern of the bikers.

Prayers needed
I got to go up to UNC hospital ICU on Wednesday evening the 24th to visit again with the family of Boyd Herring . His wife Velma and mom Linda are always there and it has been a five week virgil for them.
Boyd had a rough day . He is still on the respirator and pulled out the breathing tube today. He is very tired of being in that bed and has tried to get up and leave, He wants to go home! His injuries are healing for the better but he has had some setbacks about getting off the ventilator. He was off for 4 hours today. The doctors have him restrained to the bed to keep him from hurting himself. Please be in prayer for Boyds Lungs to get stronger so he can get off of the machine and be able to communicate with his family better. Also be in prayer for Velma and Linda as they are trusting GOD to take care of everything and have been very faithful. They are two wonderful ladies and I am blessed every time I get to talk and pray with them. God has a plan for this family and is working in their lives ,drawing them closer to “HIM”

Got to see Boyd Herring Today,
Praise God! He has been on a ventilator off and on for 42 days today. When we walked in his room in ICU chapel hill he looked like a different man.
Boyd spoke to us today for the first time. It was short as it is hard for him. Doctors say if he can stay off of it for 36 more hours he will be off for good and be moved out of ICU to a private room! Heres where the prayers are needed. Please pray for continued breathing on Boyd’s own to finally kick this respirator. Also ask God for a continued calmness to keep him from getting too excited and needing to breath harder. It was a blessing to us today as Boyd told us he was gonna ride with BFC one day soon! He looked relaxed for the first time. Wife Velma says they too have noticed the change in him as he is finally making it over this mountain and getting progressively better. God gets all the Glory as this man and his family grow closer to “HIM” and each other.
