HE NEVER SLUMBERS OR SLEEPS

Psalm 121:2-4 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Isaiah 40:29-31 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

I wrestled with what to post this month; updates about myself???? etc… I felt encouraging words were the way to go for this post. Recovery is a process. A l-o-n-g process and don’t I know it. It’s okay to sigh and not wear a constant smile. We are human. Therapies (especially when you’ve been discharged from out-patient) seem overwhelming and consuming. I sometimes feel there’s not enough hours in the day. I need to do x and y to gain strength, oh, what about z to improve motor skills and coordination, then there’s a and b. If only… I could go on. Then when you omit some stuff to do “fun” things or visit you feel guilty. The devil will play on your mind in many ways. It’s easy to grow weary.

The Bible tells us even the youth will faint. His strength is made perfect in our weakness. God is NEVER tired, faint, slow, or sleeping.

God’s got this.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
